Overview

Do you need student volunteers this summer? If so, we can help.

STAND is a matching service. When you register with us, you indicate the skills you want your volunteers to have. We suggest good matches based on your preferences. You have final say over which students you accept as volunteers.

You can sign up for as many students as you need. There is no cost to you; however, students will need a safe place to stay while they are working for you. It is, in part, your responsibility to find hosts for the students to live with. To help you find hosts, we will provide a sample letter that you can distribute to your mailing lists.

What you need to do:

1) REGISTER on our website.
2) Find safe hosts and direct them to our website.
3) When we inform you of volunteer matches, accept or reject them.
4) Give your volunteers directions to the first day of work.

Students are already making plans for the summer, so REGISTER now.

Because the Democratic candidate is the one most likely to defeat Bush, we welcome any organization whose work directly or indirectly increases the chances of the Democratic candidate. These include a wide variety of organizations, including get-out the vote organizations, campaign organizations, minority organizations, etc.
